SHERWOOD FC PRESENTATION DAY – SATURDAY 20th JUNE 2026

Sherwood FC’s Presentation Day will take place at Haydn Road Sports Ground on Saturday 20th June. All players, officials, family members and friends are warmly invited to join us for a day of football, awards and club fundraising.

Event format
Each team has been allocated one hour in total: 30 minutes for an informal match, followed by 30 minutes for presentations. During the presentation slot, coaches will award medals and/or trophies to their players.

Activities and fundraising
Alongside the football and awards, we will be running a fundraising ‘Back of the Net’ football challenge – win a mystery shirt – and selling cakes, drinks and delicious samosas.

We will also be selling SFC beanies, bobble hats, snoods and (brand new!) baseball caps.

Please support the club by visiting the stalls and getting involved on the day.

Pitch arrangements
Matches may be played on either the astro or grass pitch, depending on the number of players present for each team.

The final slot of the day is reserved for our U18s, who will play against any coaches, parents or other players who would like to take them on.

Location and parking
Haydn Road Sports Ground can be accessed via Haydn Road, near the Free School, NG5 1EB, or via the shared Pirate Playcentre car park off Rowley Drive, NG5 1GD. The permitted parking areas are shown in green on the map below, with pedestrian entrances marked by green circles.

Please do not park on Rowley Drive or in the Gossard/Courtaulds car park, which are marked in red on the map below.

Sherwood FC is a community football club based in Sherwood Nottingham, formed in the early 1990s. The club includes over twenty teams from Under 7s to senior women. The entire club is managed and run by volunteers.

As much as everyone likes to win, our club places more of an emphasis on teamwork, player development and fair play over results.

Sherwood FC is committed to ensuring children playsfootball in a safe environment.  As part of this commitment, managers, coaches, and other adults regularly coming into contact with players will have to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service ‘DBS’ check to ensure their suitability.

DO YOU HAVE A CHILD WHO WANTS TO PLAY?

We currently only have spaces in the following teams for new players: 1) Under 10 Girls Team (9 and 10-year-old girls), 2) Senior Women’s Team (open age group). All our other teams are currently full.

CLUB MEETINGS

Our club meetings (open to all) are on the first Tuesday of every month (during the football season), upstairs at The Gladstone Pub, Loscoe Rd, Carrington, NG5 2AW.
